about

----

“Travesía” tell us about a linguistic journey through different cultures, created with absolute freedom and love, inspired by its many and enrichment experiences singing in the road.

Started last summer traveling aside Melon Jimenez through Italy showing her art celebrating the great Pino Daniele in the Naples Jazz Festival, an andalucian southern voice that set the audience on fire screaming: “Brava, bravíssima…”

In her trip from south to north across the Tuscany emerged with collaborations in the festival Piazzas with fantastic italian musicians that joined bewitched by her magical talent to close the tour with the sophisticated audience of the Milano Blue Note club that once again succumbed screaming: “Brava, brava, bravíssima…”

In this creation produced by Melón Jimenez we will find this homage to Pino Daniele.. A Sandra Carrasco singing to great artists of the world on their native tongue adding her strength, credibility and passion.

With the final touch to close the CD with her own land “Fandangos” dedicated to her family with original lyrics. Eleven marvelous covers with precious collaborations in a world music style.

Sandra´s career is anarchic and eclectic showing an artist with no fears embracing styles and facets.

Bossa Nova or Jazz on a southern voice with an universal soul are in gratitude through this “Travesía” hand on hand with Sandra Carrasco´s grace.
